The Good in Every Day

I've finished my second week of school and have to admit that it's been a rough start. Things I thought I did well, turned out not so good. My confidence took a blow. I found myself feeling down and doubting my abilities.
Today, one of my kiddos came to my desk while I was taking lunch count and stood patiently. I asked her if she needed help with something and she said no. She just wanted to tell me that she loved me. Her words erased all my doubt. I'm so fortunate to be able to do what I love. I may not be perfect. Every day may not be perfect, but each day has something good in it.....like the words from my precious student.

I created a sign to post in my room as a reminder of this. Click below to download for your room. Have a great school year everyone!

Back to School Tip

Hello all! It's time again for Tip Tuesday here at the BC. I posted a little early for Manic Monday Freebies. Thank you to Down the Hall in Third and Teaching Third Grade for linking up to share classroom set up ideas from last week. It's still not to late to link up if you have set up ideas to share.

Keeping with the Back to School theme, I'm sharing something I do the first week of school. My blog premise is about keeping my classroom environment balanced  in order to reach all learners. So, I'm sharing a How I Learn Survey  I give the children. It helps me when planning and setting up learning teams. I regive the survey about half way through the year also. You can click below to download the survey I made.

Back to School Classroom Set Up

My Tip Tuesday topic this week focuses on classroom set up since that's what most of us are doing right now. I want to thank "Teaching is a Gift" for linking up last week to share a cute new teacher survival kit.
Now back to classroom set up. I use many anchor charts in my classroom so I dedicated a bulletin board to keep them. I ran a ribbon across the board and dressed up clothes pins to hold the charts.

Inspired by a pic from Pinterest, I had my husband make a board to hang no name papers, dismissal changes.........I'm thinking maybe my I Can Statements may go there............hmmm. I dressed up the board to match the rest of my classroom.

I made subject signs for my assignment board using polka dot frames and colored font to match my room colors. After laminating, I attached magnetic strips to the back.
